Retro Player

Fans of video games for many years (40 years soon :P ), we remained frozen in the era of the first arcade terminals and the "Sega center". So much money spent, so much time spent trying to beat each other's records and finally arrive "together" to defeat M. Bison (or Vega according to his country of origin).

As a small fight team, we wanted to build our own (even "our" for one of us) arcade terminal...

And there, an obstacle course, a real Golden Axe in real life, the size of the terminal, the hardware used (Odroid / PC / Raspberry / Jamma card etc..), the system used (retropie / recalbox) the legality of use, the type of buttons, the size, the wiring the LEDs, the stickers ... In short, each time a battle was won, the end of the war was still far away.

As for the assembly... Nothing very conclusive.

On the Internet we didn't find much help either.
How many times did we have to send back items that did not correspond to what we wanted (for example a 24 mm button on a control panel instead of 30 mm... etc.).

A cruel lack of information and appropriate materials led us to want to help all the Internet users, passionate or just curious, wishing to build their own arcade cabinet.

So we created :

Retro Player

We offer mini assembly tutorials, articles adapted to your needs and desires.
We help you in the choice of the articles, the total personalization so that all your desires become reality!
Eventually, we will show you how to mount each button, each joystick, which cable, which micro switch to use, with tests and total transparency so that your result corresponds to your final goal.

Of course if you have any question about the use, the assembly of the buttons, or any other question about our articles, we will be happy to help you and share our passion with you!

We have also set up a blog, which allows you to share with us the passion of arcade and retro gaming video history.
Do you want us to cover a particular topic? Let us know and maybe you'll see an article about your favorite game in our Retro Player Blog section.
