Green Sanwa button 40 mm
Large green 40 mm button from Sanwa.
This button uses the same microswitch as its 30 mm or 24 mm range : SW-68.
Sanwa OBSF 40 mm large green button with clips.
This green push button is larger than average.
We invite you to go to the section "What size for my buttons", so that you can see the size of this one.
The thickness of the control panel should not exceed 3.9 mm. However, you can build it into a deeper panel, but the clips on the sides of the button will not be active.
The quality and perfect finish of this "made in Japan" button will be perfect for your arcade.
Use this button as a giant start button for example. In case of an arcade or Bartop dedicated to Arkanoid type games requiring only one action button, this type of button makes sense.
Indeed, the SW-68 switch being the same as the 24 and 30 mm ones, you will be able to spam the button as you wish without worrying about its resistance. This switch is made to last a million times!
Match it to your chosen design, and select from the available colours of green, blue, yellow and red.
Mounting hole size: Φ40±0.1
Mounting plate thickness: 3.9 mm maximum
Switch used: SW-68
To operate, this large Sanwa switch requires a cable with a 2.8 mm terminal (optional). A 4.8 mm lug may also be compatible.
It is also essential that the button is earthed. We therefore propose a common ground chain or, exceptionally for this button, the possibility of taking a second cable with a 2.8 mm lug as an option.
- Optional : 35 cm cable with 1 x 2.8mm lug and a Dupont connector for the GPIO port (Raspberry PI / Odroid / Xinmotek card etc.). Possibility to order 2 of them.

24 mm ? 30 mm ? What to do ?
Be careful, don't make a mistake! There are several sizes of buttons (mainly 24, 28 and 30mm).
We talk about size of the button, but in fact it is the drilling necessary for the insertion of the button.
We will group 28 and 30mm which varies mostly depending on the brand of the button.
Whether in action games or shoot'em up for example, the buttons "foot", "fist" or shooting is in most cases 28/30mm.
The 24mm buttons are used for the options (like select and start for example).
However, on mini terminals, pincabs, as well as on Hitboxes, you can use smaller 24mm buttons.
Screw button or clip button ?
Depending on your panel, we will prefer one or the other.
For metal or plexiglass panels, clip-on buttons are preferable because they fit perfectly with the thin panel.
For wood panels, the choice will be first of all for a screw knob whose depth will depend on the thickness of your control panel.
Having said that, you should know that the buttons were originally called "push buttons".
This means that you will never pull on them, only spam on the "push" part.
Therefore, even though the clip-on buttons don't "clip" onto your wooden control panel, they will never come off.
Of course, if you've smeared glue on your fingers, or are playing with caramelized fingers, you're taking a chance of removing the button.
Otherwise it's all good!
